A blockchain bridge is a link that allows the transfer of tokens and/or arbitrary data from one blockchain to another. Both blockchains can have different protocols, rules and governance models, with the bridge it provides a compatible way to interact securely on both sides. Through advanced multi token pairs and wrapped token chain transfers, LX provides full interoperability amongst multiple blockchains and allows many different blockchain ecosystems to interact on the LX order books through oracles* for decentralized trading.
*Oracles are computer programs that connect data from the outside world () with the blockchain world (). Decentralized oracles achieve trustlessness and deterministic results that rely on cause- and-effect rather than on individual relationships. By leveraging many different data sources, and implementing an oracle system that isn’t controlled by a single entity, decentralized oracle networks provide an increased level of security and fairness to smart contract order books.
